Product overview

Aluminium Sun Lounger with Slatted Top

Flat-packable slatted lounger that stays cool to the touch and stacks for winter.

No cushion required, no timber to oil. The slatted aluminium top drains instantly and stays noticeably cooler than a wide flat panel in full sun. Loungers stack on top of each other, which is the difference between a usable store room and a corridor full of beds in the off season.

The AL-SL-6101 measures 200 × 67 × 38 cm overall. Key figures: lounger size 200 × 67 × 38 cm, side table 50 × 50 × 35 cm, backrest 4 positions, frame Powder-coated aluminium, shipped 1 pc / 1 carton at a net weight of 22 kg. Small changes to any of these numbers can be quoted from a drawing, so a project does not have to be built around whatever a catalogue happened to list.

Sun loungers take the worst of it: full sun, chlorinated splash, salt spray and guests who move them every day. Aluminium is the material that tolerates all four. The frames are welded and powder-coated in-house with a chromate pre-treatment, so nothing rusts onto pale decking, and the tops are either wide-pitch aluminium slats or tensioned mesh that drain instantly instead of holding water until tomorrow.

The specification questions that matter on a lounger are backrest positions, whether it stacks, and whether it needs a cushion. Four to five backrest positions cover reading and flat sunbathing; loungers that stack cut off-season storage to a fraction of the space; and a slatted or mesh top needs no cushion at all, which removes the whole business of bringing twelve cushions in every evening.

Where it works

Typical applications

Where buyers are putting the AL-SL-6101 to work.

Hotel pool deck

The surface that gets the most sun and chlorine on the property, with no timber to oil and no cushion programme.

Beach club and seafront

Salt air eats untreated metal; powder-coated aluminium with stainless fixings leaves no rust streaks on pale decking.

Spa and wellness garden

Round and cage daybeds give guests shade and privacy without enclosing them, and stay usable at midday.

Resort cabana and plunge pool

A daybed reads as a private room from across the deck and costs a fraction of a built cabana.

Material & build

How the AL-SL-6101 is made

No cushion required, no timber to oil. The slatted aluminium top drains instantly and stays noticeably cooler than a wide flat panel in full sun. Loungers stack on top of each other, which is the difference between a usable store room and a corridor full of beds in the off season.

Material: Powder-coated aluminium frame and slats, 304 stainless fixings, optional quick-dry pad.

Every AL-SL-6101 is cut, welded, chromate pre-treated and powder-coated on PatioHue Outdoor's own line in Foshan, and the rope or strap is woven by hand in the same building. Nothing is subcontracted when volumes get tight — which is why a repeat frame two years later still matches the first one.

Chromate Pre-Treatment

Chemical keying before powder coating — this is what stops the finish flaking at weld edges in year three.

1.5–2.0 mm Wall Tube

Contract-grade wall thickness, jig-welded and kept square, so the weave cannot work loose around the frame.

Export Packing

Roughly a third of the weight of a teak equivalent, foam-wrapped with corner protection in drop-tested cartons.

Any RAL Colour

Custom powder colour from a single RAL number, with a repeat order that matches years later.

Buyer's notes

What to check before ordering

  • Ask how many backrest positions the lounger has. Four or five covers reading through to flat sunbathing; two does not.
  • Ask whether it stacks. Stackable loungers cut off-season storage to a fraction of the space and are the difference between a usable store room and a corridor full of beds.
  • Wide slat spacing or tensioned mesh keeps the surface cooler and drains instantly — a closed panel holds heat and water.
  • Check the frame specification: chromate pre-treatment before powder coating is what stops the finish flaking at the weld edges in year three.
  • For exposed or windy sites ask about weight or ballast options. Aluminium is light, which is an advantage for staff and a question in the wind.

Care and maintenance

Rinse with fresh water weekly in coastal or chlorinated environments to remove salt and chemical residue. Wash the frame a few times a season with a mild pH-neutral soap — no polish, oil or sealer is required and none should be applied. Check that backrest catches and wheel bolts stay tight at the start of each season.

Customisation, OEM and private label

Size, finish, hardware and edge profile can all be adjusted on the AL-SL-6101, and we accept drawings or reference photographs. PatioHue Outdoor builds in-house, so confirming a change takes a workshop decision rather than a chain of suppliers. Private-label cartons, instruction sheets and logo application are available from the stated MOQ.

Packing, shipping and lead time

Ships 1 pc / 1 carton, net weight 22 kg. Standard production runs 25–35 days after deposit depending on quantity and finish, with FOB Shenzhen or Nansha loading. We issue a carton-by-carton loading plan before every shipment so you can book freight against real numbers.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

If your question is not here, message us on WhatsApp — we answer technical questions directly from the workshop.

What are the exact dimensions of the AL-SL-6101?

Aluminium Sun Lounger with Slatted Top measures 200 × 67 × 38 cm overall; the full specification runs lounger size 200 × 67 × 38 cm, side table 50 × 50 × 35 cm, backrest 4 positions, frame Powder-coated aluminium. Net weight is 22 kg and it ships 1 pc / 1 carton. If you need dimensions outside this range, we quote custom sizes from drawings.

What is the minimum order quantity for the AL-SL-6101?

MOQ is 10 pcs. Mixed containers are fine — you can combine models across our aluminium sun loungers range, and we will prepare one loading plan for the whole shipment. Sample orders below MOQ are possible at a small premium.

Do you offer OEM, custom sizes and private label?

Yes. Size, finish, hardware and edge profile can all be adjusted, and we accept drawings or reference photos. We can add your logo, produce private-label cartons and documentation. PatioHue Outdoor is the factory, so you are specifying directly with the people who build it.

Does the lounger need a cushion?

It depends on the top. The AL-SL-6101 is specified with wide-pitch aluminium slats, so it is comfortable without a cushion and drains instantly. A pad is available if guests expect one.

How many backrest positions are there?

The AL-SL-6101 has 4 positions. Catches are metal rather than plastic, and they are the part we hold spares for.

Will the powder coating flake off?

Not with the specification used on the AL-SL-6101. The frame is degreased and chromate pre-treated before the powder is applied and cured, so the coating keys into the metal chemically rather than sitting on it. That is the difference between a finish that survives salt and chlorinated splash for years and one that starts lifting at the weld edges after a couple of seasons.

Does the frame get too hot in the sun?

Bare aluminium does absorb heat, which is why specification matters. On the AL-SL-6101 the lying surface is wide-pitch aluminium slats with air moving between them, so it stays noticeably cooler than a closed metal panel and dries minutes after a shower.
